Younger and Associates, Inc. began when Bill Younger created a line of lighthouse replicas and introduced them to the public in the spring of 1991. This line was called Harbour Lights and grew quickly due to the quality and accuracy of its depiction of authentic lighthouses. Younger and Associates, Inc. has been a family business since its inception with Bill, his wife Nancy, daughters and granddaughters all working for the company. The art director for all product lines is Harry Hine, Bill Younger's son-in-law. In October 2002, hot air balloon reproductions were unveiled at the world-renowned Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. This was a life-long dream of Bill Younger's daughter, Kim Ely, and Harry Hine, who both experienced balloon adventures first-hand. The Sky Bound line is exquisite, hand-painted replicas of the most beautiful balloons ever to fly. In the winter of 2005, Bill and Nancy Younger sold the Harbour Lights product line. Bill Younger retired, but Nancy wasn't quite ready to settle for the life of a retiree. Nancy continues to manage SkyBound Balloons in a small office located in San Diego County.
