About Crystal World Collectible Figurines and Gifts
Crystal World was founded in the United States in 1983 with a very simple principle in mind - to create beautiful works of art for gift giving and collecting. From our whimsical Teddyland series to the stunning Wonders of the World collection, Crystal World has endeavored to maintain the highest standards of artistic creativity and technical innovation. In 1986, Rudy Nakai pioneered an entirely new direction in crystal sculpting with his introduction of the Rainbow Castle®. Since that time, Crystal World has carefully applied the use of color in many of our new creations, adding a wonderful dimension to this unique art form. In July 1998, Crystal World introduced the Disney Showcase Collection throughout the United States. The Disney Showcase Collection features Walt Disney’s most beloved characters interpreted in the finest, full-cut faceted crystal.
Award Nominations
Crystal World’s success is due in no small measure to an enormously talented team of designers. In 1990, artist Tom Suzuki received Collector Editions magazine's prestigious "Award of Excellence" for his endearing Curious Cat as "Best Miniature of the Year". Five years later Rudy Nakai was honored for his spectacular Enchanted Castle, voted by the readers of Collector Editions magazine as "Best Crystal Collectible of the Year". In 1999, Tom Suzuki received another "Award of Excellence" for "Best Cottage or Building over $100" for his stunning Cinderella’s Castle, which was also nominated in 1999 by Collector's Showcase magazine for "Best Sculpture". Crystal World's newest artist, Roy Takii, received his first "Award of Excellence" nomination in 2000 for White-Tailed Deer in the "Best Figurine $101-250" category.
