About Artisan Flair
Artisan Flair, Inc. is a design and manufacturing firm that specializes in poly resin, soft sculpture and functional home décor accessories. Founded in 1991 as a home-based business in the Boston area, the company has grown into a multi-million dollar corporation.
In the late 1990s, industry demand began to transition from gift items that were strictly collectible, to those that were more functional. Artisan Flair was quick to respond to the change. The firm expanded many of its collections, to include functional home décor pieces like clocks, wall plaques, picture frames and votive holders.
Artisan Flair is the U.S. distributor for renowned artist Betty Singer. Since January 2002, the firm has introduced three Singer collections. Angels Among Us© features wall plaques and a selection of ornaments, figurines and a candle holder decorated with holiday angels. Spiritual Directions© includes prayer boxes, wall plaques and crosses. Winter Orchard, a traditional Christmas collection, features candles accessories, musicals and ornaments.
In 2003, Artisan Flair debuted its first annual collection of cat-themed items. Artist Heather Hykes designed the Cat Nip collection of delicate felines dressed in sumptuous Victorian attire. For 2004, the firm introduced the Alley Cats figurine collection by acclaimed fashion and textile designer Margaret Le Van. Saucy and sizzling, these glamour pusses have delightful names like "Katty Diva," "Naughty Nat" and "Kitty O." Artisan Flair also extended the Cat Nip collection in 2004, with the introduction of "Cats With Red Hats", dressed in purple outfits and frilly, feathered and furry red hats.
A second Margaret Le Van collection was introduced in 2004. Cold Shoulders showcases reindeer, polar bears and snow ladies outfitted in what the artist sassily refers to as "glacial chic." In 2004, the firm also debuted The Seasons of Holly Pond Hill, a collection of wall plaques featuring the heartwarming artwork of Susan Wheeler. Holly Pond Hill is a village inhabited by charming rabbit characters. Ideal for gifting, the inspirational verses on each plaque speak of life's important things - family, friends, faith and love.
