Born in the French Aix-en-Provence in 1839, Paul Cezanne, is considered a trailblazer of the modern art era. He said that his landscapes became people thinking creatures within himself and he literally claims "I become one with my picture". Largely self taught, Paul Cezanne needed to use only a few light strokes of the brush to breathe life into his paintings. He arrived at his revolutionary creative style through impressionism, but unlike the impressionist who emphasized the effects of light. Paul Cezanne was concerned with capturing the true values of color, from, structure, and contour of the objects he painted. Paul Cezanne's style influenced the major movements of the Cubist, the Fauves, and the Abstract Expressionists.
About Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519) was the artist, architect, scientist and inventor who embodied the spirit of the Renaissance in Italy. He was born in Vinci near Florence on 15 April 1452. He began to study as a painter at 17 under Andrea del Verocchio.

About Tamara de Lempicka 1898-1980
Auto Portrait Autoportrait ahs become an icon of an era. It is easily one of Tamara de Lempicka's most recognized works through its reproduction in numberous magazines and books over the decades. The Art Deco version of the liberated woman in her brightly colored car has come to represent the newly discovered freedom of women of the day.
Portrait of Ira P. (Ira Ponte, Duchess of Valmy) The duchess was a neighbor and close friend of Tamara and her family for many years, until the had a falling out. (This was rumored to have been about Ponte stealing money from Tamara.) It was also believed by Tamara's closest friends and family that Ira Ponte was Tamara's most consistent lover over the years.

"The model walked across the room and picked up an apple from the bowl to satiate her hunger. Tamara says: "Stop! I have an inspiration. I have before me the vision of Adam and Eve. " She says she then went out into the street and nearby saw a policeman on his beat. "He was young, he was handsome. Monsieur, I am an artist and I need a model for my painting. She brought him into the studio and said 'you are Adam, here is your Eve." Part of Barbara Streisand's private collection.

About Auguste Renoir
Auguste Renoir and Monet worked closely together during the late 1860s, painting similar scenes of popular river resorts and views of a bustling Paris. Renoir was by nature more solid than Monet, and while Monet fixed his attentions on the ever-changing patterns of nature, Renoir was particularly entranced by people and often painted friends and lovers. His early work has a quivering brightness that is gloriously satisfying and fully responsive to what he is painting, as well as to the effects of the light.
"Renoir seems to have had the enviable ability to see anything as potentially of interest. More than any of the Impressionists, he found beauty and charm in the modern sights of Paris. He does not go deep into the substance of what he sees but seizes upon its appearance, grasping its generalities, which then enables the spectator to respond with immediate pleasure. "Pleasure" may be decried by the puritanical instinct within us all, but it is surely the necessary enhancer that life needs. It also signifies a change from Realism: the Impressionists' paintings have none of the labored toll of Millet's peasants, for example. Instead they depict delightful, intimate scenes of the French middle class at leisure in the country or at cafes and concerts in Paris. Renoir always took a simple pleasure in whatever met his good-humored attention, but he refused to let what he saw dominate what he wanted to paint. Again he deliberately sets out to give the impression, the sensation of something, its generalities, its glancing life. Maybe, ideally, everything is worthy of attentive scrutiny, but in practice there is no time. We remember only what takes our immediate notice as we move along.

Each item in the Artis Orbis Collection is crafted of the finest porcelain and
signed with the signature of the original artist. The painstaking production
process begins with a critical review of each painting to determine the shapes
and product forms that will best bring the artwork to life. Next, detailed
photographs of the paintings are studied and digitally enhanced to shape the
artwork to the porcelain or glass body. Color transfers or decals are then
created and scrutinized to ensure the colors precisely match the original
painting. The decals are then hand-cut and shaped to conform to each figure.
Depending on the complexity of the design, up to six different decals may be
applied by hand. Finally, the porcelain or art glass is then fired and finishing
touches such as gold rims and hand-painted accents are added.
